In the second series a puzzling case awaits Keenan and the rest of the CID team: a doctor from Holby General has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Holby City hospital’s feisty registrar, Jac Naylor, is accused of attacking someone who previously assaulted her. Despite the overwhelming evidence against her, Jac passionately denies any involvement. Co-workers are called up as character witnesses – their opinion is divided. With the facts stacking up against the beleaguered doctor, things are not looking good – until a chance meeting at the station leads detectives to their mystery witness.
It’s all change for the team as new faces join the fold – but will they blend in or cause friction? When a handsome man spots Kate Keenan sitting alone at a police event, he decides to make a move. Kate deals with his advances with good humour; however, it’s obvious she’s flattered and enjoying the attention. Little does she know she has been flirting with her husband’s new boss, DCI Scott Vaughan.
And will PC Lucy Slater be able to match her new partner – PC Jake Loughton – an intriguingly cocksure yet dark and moody copper? His behaviour borders on the arrogant, but he is hiding a shocking secret from his new colleagues and is desperate to keep them from discovering the truth about his past.
