The team reopen the case of a teenage boy who drowned 16 years ago in a concrete pit. Their investigation takes them deep into the culture and traditions of Irish Travellers.

Episode 3 & 4

When Khaled Ahmad goes on hunger strike, Boyd and the Cold Case team race against time to find the mythical Mahdi’s skull. At the same time, MI6 want Boyd to reinvestigate the murder of an Iraqi dissident whose apparent killer has already been tried and convicted.

Episode 5 & 6

A mummified, sexually conjoined couple are found during a bank renovation. The discovery awakens a fraud scandal in the City of London around the time of Black Wednesday.

Episode 7 & 8

The team reinvestigate three murders between 1979 and 1985, supposed to be the work of a serial killer, when the victims’ personal effects are anonymously sent to one of the widows.

Episode 9 & 10

A decomposed body is discovered buried in a garden, and a convicted murderer escapes from a psychiatric unit. Boyd’s team is drawn back to a horrific double parricide from 1967.

Episode 11 & 12

The arrival of an anonymous package containing a Nazi SS dagger at Cold Case HQ sparks an investigation into the unsolved murder of a young Jewish girl in London in 1945.
